It all began in the back of my Dad’s dark green BMW 740i, blasting north with the windows down. Singing to Steppenwolf’s Born to be Wild at the top of my lungs with my brother Chase. My dad’s nickname was Peter Pan. He is a wild card that never grew up, and we idolised him for it.

I owe my love for Rock n Roll to his dear soul..

As the years went on I came to realise that I was living my life by the lyrics in that song. Having already written my own book of rules to play by, I was a spoilt and disruptive child that spent a lot of time being a petrol head.

At the age of 10 I broke my leg badly on a dirt bike. My Dads best friend felt sorry for me and brought around a Spanish guitar for me to start learning. That was it for me… I realised that it was what I had been missing and what I wanted to do with my life.

My old man saw my passion for it, hearing Zeppelin and Hendrix coming out of my room after 6 months of me playing, he brought home my first electric guitar. A US made 3 tone sunburst Fender Stratocaster.

From Influences

My earliest influences were made up of Rock as well as hip hop. Bone thugs n harmony somehow found their way onto my MP3 player in primary school which my parents didn’t know about… they would have shit themselves if they knew what their little sweetheart was listening to back then.

Between 50 cent, Eminem, Snoop, The Black Eyed Peas and many more, I learned to appreciate both sides of the modern spectrum. Rock and blues became the back bone after after i started playing. Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Stevie Ray Vaughan. That being said, the biggest of all for me has been John Mayer. He is a modern day genius in my eyes.
